Bennie Lee Capps, 82, passed away at his home on Friday, December 16, 2022. Bennie was born in Wayne County on February 27, 1940, to the late Bennie Louis Capps and Roberta Ballree Capps.

Bennie is survived by his loving wife, Annie Smith Capps, daughters, Marcy Capps, Roberta McClure; son, Rodney Capps; sister, Betty Siltzer; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Julia, Jewel, Barbara, Butterfly, and Cricket; and his brothers, Frank, Harold, and Raymond.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
