December 12, 2022, 90, Goldsboro –

Leon Redding Cole, 90, of Goldsboro passed away Monday, December 12, 2022, at UNC Health Wayne.

A graveside service with military honors will be held Monday, December 19, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro. 

Mr. Cole was born in Willard, North Carolina on March 5, 1932, to the late Edward and Mary Lilly Piner Cole.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Daniels Chapel in Goldsboro.

He is survived by his loving wife, Renate Cole, and a daughter, Renate Diane Cole of Atlanta, Georgia.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
