Juanita Britt Odom, 94, of Pikeville, passed away Monday at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Edgar Britt and Prosie Strickland Britt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Odom. Mrs. Odom was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and a choir member, and she was a retired seamstress for Barry of Goldsboro.

 A celebration of life service will be held Friday at Faith Free Will Baptist Church at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Christian Powell, Rev. Dann Patrick, Rev. Hemant Patel, and Rev. Rudolph Britt officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before the service.

Mrs. Odom is survived by her children, Sheree Odom Lancaster and husband, Randy of Pikeville and Bethany Sue Broome Daniels of Fremont; a brother, Rudolph Britt and wife, Phyllis; sisters, Dorothy Gurley, Della Dail, Margaret Towle, and Linda Harrison grandchildren, Lynn Broome, Mitzi Broome Hare, Bethany Broome Curtis, Michael Broome; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Zachary, and Paylan Broome, Samuel and Nathan Curtis, Morgan Tyndall, Madison and Kristen Hare; and great-great-grandchildren, Ethan, Matthew, Emily, Adalyn and Hailey Tyndall, and Isabella Maldonado coming soon.
