December 10. 2022, 79, Grantham –

Mr. George Randolph Marshall, a resident of the Grantham area, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 10. 2022, at Wayne Hospital.  He was 79.  Mr. Marshall had proudly served in the United States Air Force, retiring after a fulfilling military career.

He is survived by his children, Cliff Marshall and wife, Tammy, of Wilmington, Crystal M. Denning and husband, Brad, of Grantham, and Josh Marshall and wife, Melissa, of Dudley; eight grandchildren, Kristen, Cameron, Seth, Addison, Tyler, Michala, Sophia, and A.J.; and two great-grandchildren, Emery and Aubrey.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Roberta Withers and Pam Stamper, along with their parents, Earl Randolph Marshall and Mary Zelley Marshall O’Neil.

A service of remembrance will be held at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro on Thursday, December 15, at 2:00 p.m.  Officiating clergy will be the Rev. Patrick Muston, with military honors rendered by Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Honor Guard.
