Evan Andrew Davis

Evan Andrew Davis

December 9, 2022, 38, Eureka –

Evan Andrew Davis, 38, passed away at his home on December 9, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Eureka, Evan was the son of the late Warren Davis and Kitzy Aycock Davis. In addition to his parents, Evan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Landis and Frances Davis.

Those who knew Evan knew his fandom and loyalty were with N.C. State. Oftentimes, Evan could be seen wearing a Wolfpack shirt or hat. Nothing would please Evan more than a Wolfpack win, especially over UNC.

Evan loved being from and living in Eureka. Being where he grew up, Evan was proud of his hometown. Evan could oftentimes be found reading a book prior to losing his sight. Another hobby Evan had was gardening. He loved to be outside, picking weeds, and making sure the yard and garden looked pristine.

Most importantly, Evan will be remembered as a family man. Evan and his daughter, Madisyn, had a special father-daughter relationship. The time spent together is something that Madisyn will cherish forever. Evan loved all of his family dearly and enjoyed getting together and spending time with them. Evan will always be remembered as a loving husband, son, and father.

A service to celebrate Evan’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Charles B. Aycock’s birthplace. The family will receive friends the evening prior, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., on December 13th at Seymour Funeral Home. The family request those attending the services to wear red, or anything NC State as we honor Evan.

Evan is survived by his loving wife, Miranda Todd Davis; daughter, Madisyn Todd; brother, John Garrett and wife, Elizabeth; Uncle and Aunts, Dale and Kriquette Davis, and Wanda and Banks Cozart; special sister-in-law, Shonda Todd; two nieces and two nephews; as well as many cousins and family that he loved dearly.
