Stephen James Frederick, Sr., 71, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield.

Stephen was born in Battleboro, Vermont to the late Wayne H. and Norma McCabe Frederick on June 17, 1951. In 1971, Stephen began serving our country in the United States Air Force and retired in 1991 after 20 years of service.

The family will gather for a private service at a later date.

Stephen is survived by his son, Stephen James Frederick, and wife, Camille; daughter, Christie Lynn Frederick; grandchildren, Dellaney, Blinson, Jo Claire, Hadley Raye, Leah Gray, Georgia Lynn, Cameron, and Zeb; brothers, Wayne Frederick, Mark Frederick and wife, Sue, and Freddie Frederick; and sisters, Jean Loflin and husband, Perry, Daryl Boyd and husband, Larry, and Marla Hufton. He is also survived by his fiancée, Mary Nieto-Hedman.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given in his memory to the SECU Hospice House, 426 Hospital Road, Smithfield, NC 27577.
