Retired Lt. Colonel Minnie M. Beverly, 91, completed her final mission on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC and now taking her rest. The celebration of her life will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 12:00 pm with a viewing from 11:00 am to 11:45 am at the J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 2:00 pm with full military honors at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC.

She was born on July 3, 1931, in Johnston County, NC to Raford Avery Sr. and Nettie Williams.

Due to the floral stipulations of the VA Cemetery, the family has requested, in lieu of flowers, you may make a contribution to one of the following charitable organizations in her name: Military Women’s Memorial Foundation, American Red Cross, Tuskegee Airman Local Chapter or the AARP Local Chapter.
