Early Morning Shooting Victim in Critical Condition

On November 27, 2022, at approximately 2:51 a.m., officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a residence in the 200 Block of Randall Ln. in reference to a shooting. Officers found 30 year old Andre Boykin suffering from a gunshot wound to his head.

The initial 911 call stated that he was deceased, but EMS personnel found signs of life and transported him to UNC Health Wayne for treatment. He was subsequently transported to ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville for further treatment. Mr. Boykin is currently listed as being in critical condition.

The Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigative Services Bureau was contacted and responded to the scene. Their investigation is still developing.
