Gabriel Nichole Bartlett, age 24, passed away Thursday morning due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  Born in Wayne County, NC, she was the daughter of Jolene Calvert Mentzer and William “Willie” Karl Bartlett, Jr. She was a 2016 graduate of Rosewood High School.

A service to celebrate Gabby’s life will be held Monday, November 28, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Bishop Cullen Jarman officiating.  A time of visitation for family and friends will be held immediately following the service on Monday evening at the funeral home. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.

Along with her parents, she is survived by her brother, Andon Culbreth; her sisters, Brooklyn Calvert and Natalie Faulkner; her paternal grandmother, Diane Bartlett; her maternal grandparents, Nancy McKee (Bill) and Michael Calvert (Diane); stepfather, Don Mentzer; stepbrothers, Tyler Mentzer and Adrian Mentzer; step sisters, Destiny Mentzer and Faith Mentzer; Aunts, Angel Foley (Mike), Renee Brown (Craig), Rose Mosby (Chris), Amber Pennington, Karla Laseter, and Shelly Johnson; Uncles, John Bartlett (Natasha) and David Billings.

Gabby was preceded in death by her grandfather, Bishop William Karl Bartlett, and her step-grandmother, Cindy Shannon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
