Orville Bardo Candler, 75, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 18, 2022, at his home. Bardo was born in Wayne County to the late Orville Benny Candler and Edna Hare Candler on December 7, 1946. In addition to his parents, Bardo was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Phyllis Smith Candler.

He is survived by his son, Stacy Candler, and wife Lisa; siblings, Christa Hayes, Marco Candler, Marcia Wheless, and Angelo Candler; and several nieces and nephews he loved very much.

Bardo worked as an industrial engineer with Crouse-Hinds in LaGrange. He was a member of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Bardo enjoyed the outdoors, especially when he got the opportunity to wet a line and hook a fish. He always took great pleasure in the thrill of a fast car.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 21, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Bardo’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Rose to officiate. The interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
