James J. “Jimmy” O’Rourke, Jr., 66, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at UNC Health Rex in Raleigh. Born in Wayne County on April 5, 1956, he was the son of the late James Joseph O’Rourke, Sr., and Vera Frances Lockamy O’Rourke.

Jimmy is survived by his brothers, Tony Brown and wife, Joy Couch Brown, and Noble Daniel O’Rourke.

Jimmy lived and worked in the Belfast/Goldsboro area his entire life. He was an avid sports fan. Over the years, Jimmy put furniture in numerous homes across the state, including the Governor’s Mansion in Raleigh and the homes of several senators.

Jimmy’s life will be remembered in a private setting for the family.
