Foy H. “Shorty” Daniels, age 81, passed away Thursday at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, NC. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Riley Benjamin and Pearlie Mae Best Daniels and the husband of the late Bridgette S. Daniels.  He was the owner and operator of Dudley Furniture Store. His favorite place to eat was Grady’s BBQ as they were great friends to him

A service to celebrate Shorty’s life will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held immediately following the service at the funeral home on Saturday.

Shorty is survived by his daughter, Sherri Daniels Lane; his son, Foy Daniels (Linda); brothers, Arnold “Bill” Daniels and Roy Daniels (Peggy); grandchildren, Cameron Lane (Leah), Ashton Lane, Foy Daniels, Jr. (Lisa), Eric Daniels and Roger Daniels; great-grandchildren, Jordan Daniels (Destiny), Katie Daniels, Levi Daniels, Mia Daniels, Caleb Daniels, Landon Daniels. He also has one special great-grandchild “on the way”.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Jones.
