On December 1st, 2022, United Way of Wayne County and its Board of Directors will be hosting the 2022 Campaign Fair Share Giveaway event.
The annual event serves to recognize the Fair Share investors and give away a $10,000.00 grand prize. For the last four years, an anonymous donor has gifted United Way of Wayne County with $10,000.00, separate from the Community Campaign, with the intent to encourage and recognize Fair Share investors. This year, 21 finalists have been randomly selected from hundreds investing their Fair Share with United Way of Wayne County. On November 18th, LIVE on WGBR, the final three finalists will be selected and Thursday, December 1st at 5:30 pm, all 21 finalists will show up with the hopes of winning $10,000.00.
United Way of Wayne County will also take this opportunity to thank the organizations that hold employee campaigns, the investors that support the programs, the Community Partners that execute these impactful programs, and the volunteers that make it all come together. Bethany Perry, the 2022 Campaign Chair states, “I’m excited to share where we are with our goal to raise $850,000.00 to impact the lives of 17,000 Wayne County residents. We still have work to do before wrapping up at the end of the year, so please consider supporting United Way’s 2022 Community Campaign.”

United Way of Wayne County will also recognize five Wayne County Public School $500 Educators Classroom Grant recipients, as well as one Wayne County Public School $5,000 School Grant Recipient. To enter the drawing, hundreds of educators invested their Fair Share of one hours pay per month to United Way of Wayne County.
