Drivers can expect to encounter occasional lane closures beginning mid-November for the resurfacing of 4.5 miles of Wayne Memorial Drive.
A state Transportation Department contractor will repave the road from just south of its intersection with Saulston Road to the Wayne-Greene County line.
The work will be done in the daytime, requiring sections of the road at a time to be reduced to one lane under flagging operators directing traffic.
Drivers should slow down and be alert traveling through this work zone and expect short delays.
The improvements are expected to be completed by early December.
