Lisa Fabrizio Jones

November 7, 2022, 66, Goldsboro –

Lisa Fabrizio Jones, 66, was called to her heavenly home on Monday, November 7, 2022, surrounded by her family. Lisa was born on June 19, 1956, to the late Malcolm Raymond Fabrizio and Kitty Lou Keller Fabrizio in Wayne County. She was married to the love of her life, Mike Jones for 46 years.

Possessing a love for all of God’s creatures, Lisa was especially fond of horses. She always felt the freest when riding the trails on horseback.

The family was of utmost importance to Lisa. She dedicated her time to taking care of others, whether members of her family or animals who needed her help. Her pride and joy were found in her daughter, Brittany, and her granddaughter, Remie Kate Byrd, who was her absolute delight.

Lisa gave her all to the roles of wife, mama, grandmother, sister, and friend. She extended this same love to many of Brittany’s friends throughout her life. Her trademark was taking care of others, ensuring that their needs were met, and always placing their needs before her own.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Lisa’s life at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Freddie Langston officiating.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Mike Jones; daughter, Brittany Jones Byrd, and husband, Grant; and Rachelle Gordon, whom she loved like a daughter; and the apple of her eye, her granddaughter, Remie Kate Byrd. She is also survived by her sisters, Tracy Coor and husband, Thomas and Jeanie Smith; adopted son, Brian Carter, and wife, Felicia; special friends, Maria Massengill and her son, Izak, Sheri, and Del Lockamy and Crazy Rachelle; nieces and nephews, Heather Rabil, Jena Kennedy and husband, Bryce, Michael Sweet and wife, Jonna, Peter Fabrizio, and Andy Fabrizio; and great nieces and nephews, Chuck, Ryder, Keeley, Ellie, Heidi Mac and Porter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Mary Kathryn Edgerton, and brother-in-law, Don Smith.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be given in her memory to the Wayne County Animal Shelter, 1600 Clingman Street, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
