Drug Arrest in Local Retailer’s Parking Lot

Goldsboro Police Department’s Housing Unit was conducting undercover surveillance of the parking lot area of Walmart, located at 1002 North Spence Avenue when officers located a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot area near Brooklyn Pizzeria.

Officers from the Housing Unit and Patrol “D” Shift approached the vehicle and made contact with two occupants, Willie Sutton III and Ronald Pigg. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, approximately 13 grams of heroin, 6 dosage units of Fentanyl tablets, methamphetamines, and drug paraphernalia were located.

The driver, Willie Sutton III was arrested and charged with Trafficking Heroin (F), PWISD Methamphetamines (F), Maintaining a Vehicle (F), Destruction of Evidence (F), and PWISD Schedule II (F).  The passenger, Ronald Pigg was arrested for an outstanding warrant for Possession of Methamphetamines (F).  Mr. Sutton received a $250,000 secured bond and Mr. Pigg received a $2,000 secured bond.
