Three Injured in Jake Drive Shooting

Three victims were located suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s office, on November 07, 2022, at approximately 1:37 am, Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a shooting at 101 Jake Drive, Dudley, NC. After arriving on the scene, deputies located three victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victims have been identified as Brandy Boomhower, 38, Jacob Boomhower, 21, and Ricky Spencer, 63, all from 101 Jake Drive.

Brandy Boomhower was transported to Wayne UNC Healthcare and was later transferred to
WakeMed for further treatment. Jacob Boomhower was transported to Wayne UNC Healthcare,
where he was treated and released. Ricky Spencer was transported to Wayne UNC Healthcare
and later transferred to ECU Health in Greenville. At this time, Ms. Boomhower and Mr.
Spencer’s conditions are unknown.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division responded to the scene, and detectives believe that robbery may be a possible motive in the shootings. The investigation is still in its early stages, and detectives are still following up on leads for potential suspects.
