Two Suspects Charged in Separate Robberies

Gun Fire near Courthouse & Chestnut Street

On Nov. 7, 2022, at approximately 1:49 p.m., officers with the Goldsboro Police Department heard several gun shots being fired and responded to the area near the Wayne County Courthouse. While officers were responding to the scene, a Shot Spotter alert came out for the 300 block of E. Chestnut Street. Deputies from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene. 

It was determined that the shots were fired from a moving vehicle. 

Evidence was collected from the scene. There were no injuries or property damage reported. 

The investigation continues.
