LeeAnn Boykin

October 17, 2022, 59, Goldsboro –

LeeAnn Boykin, 59, peacefully entered into the Kingdom of Heaven and into the presence of our Lord and Savior on Monday, October 17, 2022. Born in Wayne County on December 4, 1962, she was the daughter of Peggy Renfroe and the late Joe Renfroe. For thirty-four years, LeeAnn was the devoted and loving wife of James O. “Tim” Boykin, Jr., and the devoted, loving, and proud mother of their son, Timothy O’Quinn “Quinn” Boykin.

LeeAnn was a very detailed and organized person. She graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 1981 where she developed many lifelong friends that loved her dearly and several still ever-presents in her life. She worked for more than thirty years alongside her husband, Tim, son, Quinn, and the Boykin family at their business, Jim’s Signs. It was a true family business that she treasured being a vital part of.

LeeAnn’s passion and love for animals and gardening were evident on each day of her life. She had many beautiful plants that she cared for, which truly gave her peace. LeeAnn never missed an opportunity to care for or love an animal. She always carried pet food and treats in her car, just in case she encountered an animal or stray that needed food or care.

LeeAnn is survived by her husband, Tim Boykin; son, Quinn Boykin; mother, Peggy Renfroe of Goldsboro; brothers, Tony Renfroe, and wife, Cherri of Hookerton and Mark Renfroe and wife, Terri of Goldsboro; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Boykin of Goldsboro; sisters-in-law, Donna Stroud and husband, Nick of Seven Springs and Debbie Moore and husband, Glen of Wilmington; brother-in-law, Mark Boykin and wife, Lori of Goldsboro; aunt, Edith Bradley of Raleigh; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

LeeAnn was preceded in death by her father, Joe Renfroe, and her father-in-law, Jim Boykin.

A celebration of LeeAnn’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2022, at Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church in La Grange with Pastor Rick Garner officiating. The family will receive friends during the hour prior to the service from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the church.
