Sharon Hope McPherson Lincoln, age 66, passed away Sunday. Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Wesley McPherson and the late Mattie T. Williams McPherson. A nurse’s aide, she was a member of the Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and the Korean Presbyterian Church in Greensboro. She was a Veteran of the US Navy, having served during the Vietnam War.

A service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held by the graveside, Sunday at 1:00 pm at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Wonford Galmon officiating. The body will lie in state at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm with the family being present from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.

She is survived by her husband, Larry G. Lincoln, Jr.; she was also preceded in death by a son, Larry G. Lincoln, III; she is survived by a son, Lionel G. Lincoln; a daughter, Larraine G. Dunwoody, and her husband, Pierce T. Dunwoody; she is survived by a brother, Arthenus Wesley McPherson and his wife, Sun McPherson; two grandchildren, Isaiah Anderson and Larry G. Lincoln IV; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
