Frost Advisory in Effect

Warmer Temperatures Expected to Arrive by Wednesday

Frost Advisory in Effect

A frost advisory is in effect from 3 am to 9 am on Wednesday for Wayne County.  The freeze watch remains in effect through Thursday morning.    The frost advisory could see temperature drop as low as 35 and in some areas fall to sub-freezing temperatures.

Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, and other sensitive vegetation, and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.  Take sets now to protect tender plants from the cold.  To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
