Christine Brenda Halls Stewart, 74, of Goldsboro, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022, at Lenoir UNC Health Care in Kinston surrounded by her family. Christine was born in England on April 30, 1948, to the late Rose Wetton.

Christine is survived by her husband, Stephen Stewart; son, Jarred Stewart and wife Merry of Texas; daughter, Tiffany Edwards and husband Joseph of Four Oaks; granddaughter, Evlyn Stewart; special family friends, Lenora and Ricky; canine companions, Yarrow and Rio and several other family and friends.

Christine was a caring and loving person who loved all animals. This included her two German Shephards, four indoor cats, five outdoor barn cats, and many different wild animals around the property. She also made sure many contributions were made to the ASPCA, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Wounded Warriors, and the Red Cross. She loved all the seasons and would decorate the house inside and out appropriately for all the holidays and seasons. She will be sorely missed but her spirit will always be with us.

A private service will be held at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel.

Although flowers are welcome, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Southeast German Shepherd Rescue in Cary.
