Jessie Marie Goff Waters, 76, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022, at the Brian Center. Born in Greene County on April 27, 1946, she was the daughter of the late John Owen Goff and Betty Perry Goff.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Earl Waters; sisters, Johnnie Grace Tyndall and Pauline Goff; brothers, Linwood “Bud” Goff and Paul Goff; and half-sisters, Bierchie West, Lizzie Carter, Jenny Bell Sauls, and Gertrude Barnett.

Jessie is survived by her three children, Connie Wayne “C.W.” Davis, Jr. and wife, Jennifer, Stephanie Davis Crawford and husband, John, and Sheree Davis Price and husband, Jamie; grandchildren, Tyler Crawford, Ann-Marie Outlaw (Brandon), Natalie Davis, Daniel Garrett (Bre), Paige Garrett (Jessica), Laney Price, Layton Price, and Justin Crawford (Jamie); three great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Goff (Kim); sister, Hazel Bailey; special niece, Ann Chapman; special nephews, Earl Tyndall and Howard Tyndall; and several nieces and nephews.

Jessie is also survived by her step-sons, David Waters (Sandra) and Ronald Waters; five step-grandchildren; and thirteen step-great-grandchildren.

Jessie had a deep love for children and took great pride in caring for them. For twenty years, she operated Ma’Re Daycare from her home.

Jessie was a dedicated and faithful member of the Rosewood Church of God.

A service to celebrate Jessie’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2022, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Rev. Tom McLendon officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022, at the Pikeville Cemetery. The family will receive friends during the hour prior to the service from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. and following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Community Home Care & Hospice, especially her nurse, Amanda Kearney, and Chaplain Ramon Mizell. They would also like to extend their appreciation to the caregivers at the Brian Center for the love and care shown to Jessie in her final days.
