October 3, 2022, 61, Fremont –

Bobby Dwight Overman, 61, of Fremont departed this earthly life Monday, October 3, 2022, at UNC Health Wayne in Goldsboro.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, October 7, 2022, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont. The family will receive friends following the service.

Mr. Overman was born in Wayne County on July 24, 1961, to the late David Cornelius and Margaret Mozingo Overman. He was an avid fan of Dale Earnhardt. He will be deeply missed by all.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Debbie Jordan Overman; one son, Dwight Overman of Smithfield; two step-daughters, Tina West and husband, Richard of Garner, and Angela Anzelone and husband, Jimmy of Garner; two brothers, Randy Overman, and wife, Susan of Fremont and David Ray Overman and wife, Betty of Kinston; two sisters, Janice Howard of Lucama and Brenda McArthur and husband, Gary of Fremont; his grandchildren and step-grandchildren; a special brother-in-law, Thomas Jordan; his beloved fur babies, Cricket, Ginger, Cristi and Precious and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jerry Howard.

The family is in the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 N. Pine Street in Fremont.
