September 29, 2022, 61, Goldsboro –

Donald “Donnie” Fulghum, age 61, passed away Thursday at his home.  Born in Kinston, NC, he was the son of George Frank and Lula Mae Bass Fulghum.  He was a member of Seven Springs Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. from the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Rev. Jess R. Wood officiating.  Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.  A time of visitation will be held Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the funeral home.

Donnie is survived by his wife, Georgia Grant Fulghum; step-daughter, Heather Fulghum Weeks and her husband, Allen Weeks; brother, Billy Ray Fulghum; sisters, Ella Garner and Joyce Perkinson; grandchildren, Emerson King, Anastyn King, and Mason Weeks; nephews and nieces, Jimmie Fulghum, Jr. & wife, Lauren, Patty Lynn Harrison, Kathy Dale, Becky Garner, Will Blackmon, Betsy Dale, Amber Dale, Piper Dale, and Lucas Dale, Susan Genia, Buddy Fulghum, Natalie Fulghum, Taylor Fulghum, and Bobby Gupton.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Ronnie Fulghum; his brothers, Jimmie Fulghum, and James Edward Fulghum, along with a nephew, Frankie Fulghum.
