September 26, 2022, 80, Fremont –

W.T. Smith, 80, of Fremont, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022, at UNC Health Wayne.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 28, 2022, from 6 p.m. until 7:30  p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.  The funeral service will be held Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.

W.T. along with his wife, Patricia Elaine Smith, owned and operated Capital Cafe in Fremont for over 30 years.  His daughter still continues the business today that they worked so hard for.  He will be deeply missed by all.
