On Friday afternoon., Officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to the 400 block of Daisy Street in response to a ShotSpotter alert of several gunshots in the area. While responding to this location, Officers were made aware of a 911 call from the 300 block of Park Avenue.
Officers were advised that a male subject, suffering from a gunshot wound, entered an apartment asking for help. Officers responded and found 21-year-old Daquail Jameil Rouse of Goldsboro suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was transported to Wayne-UNC Health for treatment.
Officers located a crime scene in the 400 block of Daisy St. with the assistance of the ShotSpotter alert system. The Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigative Services Bureau was contacted and responded to the scene. This investigation is still developing.
