Gloria Adeline Horrell, 76, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022. Born in New Hanover County on November 2, 1945, she was the daughter of the late James William Thompson and Gracie Alberta Shepherd. Gloria attended New Beginnings Presbyterian Church in Pine Level.

Gloria is survived by her daughter, Beth Smith, and husband, Ben; her brother, Morris Thompson; and grandchildren, Megan Sutton, Dylan Smith, and wife, Kristian, and Ryan Smith.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Grainger, Neil, and Randolph Thompson.
