Annette Simmons Taylor

Annette Simmons Taylor, 84, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on September 20, 2022 at her home. Born in Bucksport, South Carolina on December 1, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Willie Foxworth Simmons and Annie Mae Williams Simmons.

Annette is survived by her daughter, Cathy Sawyer and husband, Keith of Stantonsburg; grandsons, Jimmy Richardson and Daniel Richardson of South Carolina; great-granddaughter, Aspen; and one great-great-granddaughter. Annette is also survived by her brother, Thomas Clyde Simmons of Wildwood, Florida.

In addition to her parents, Annette is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Walker Taylor; daughter, Audrey Dianne Poston Richardson; and brother, Jim Simmons.

Annette is a long-time member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was an active member of her Sunday School Class and served as custodian for the History Room at St. Paul. Annette was also an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Annette was an avid artist, especially in painting. Annette will be remembered for her beautiful artwork, as well as her beautiful crotchet work.

A memorial service to celebrate Annette’s life will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 1:00 PM at St. Paul United Methodist Church columbarium. The family will receive friends following the service at the columbarium.
