Kimberly was a five-year graduate of East Carolina University. She had a passion for teaching and took great pride in seeing students succeed. Employed by Wayne County Public Schools for 23 years she taught eighth-grade Math at Spring Creek Middle School and coached volleyball for 17 years. She was honored to be chosen volleyball coach of the year for Wayne County two years in a row. Her love for her teaching and her students superseded the classroom. She would devote special time to any student or teacher that she saw struggling. She was an extended tutor to many during her years. Kimberly made many friends in the staff and administration during her career. They were all special to her!

Kimberly’s precious daughter, Sierra, was her pride and joy. Being her daughter’s greatest supporter, always encouraging her to give her best in anything she tackled and to never give up. Sierra was her mama’s heart!

Kimberly will be greatly missed by her family and friends! In her final days on earth, Kimberly witnessed the peace of Jesus that she felt in her heart and encouraged all her friends and family to prepare their hearts with Jesus so she could meet them again in heaven.
