Goldsboro Elks Lodge #139 presented the AF Family Scholarship to five deserving students heading to or continuing their college or vocational education this year. In total, $23,000 was presented. Kiera Negron, Taylor Brotjan, Jacob Volk, Branna Martin, McKenzy Schinsky received scholarships.
The Air Force Family Scholarship Program is administered by the lodge and funded through a grant from the Patriot Foundation. The program funds college scholarships for the children and spouses of disabled or fallen Airmen. In attendance for the presentation was Colonel Lucas Teel, who is the Commander of the 4th Fighter Wing, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
