September 7, 2022, 74, Goldsboro –

Brenda “Diane” Bass Roberts, age 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.  Born in Sampson County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Dock and Maie Bell Bass. 

A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be Sunday, September 11, 2022, 2:00 pm at Bowden Community Church with her son-in-law, Pastor Robert G. Holland officiating.  A time of visitation for family and friends will be held immediately following the service at the church.

Brenda is survived by her husband, George Royce Roberts; sons, Tommy Reed Autry (Pam), Andy Rackley (Kelly), W.R. Roberts (Sandy), George Craig Roberts (Lou); daughters, Melinda Autry Holland (Robert), Teresa Lee (Mike) and Rita Hood (Jimmy); sisters, Sandra Bass Knowles, Juanita Bass Wowra; brother-in-law, Robert “Bob” Millman; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews.  

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Henry “Bud” Bass; sister, Mary Jane Bass Millman.
