United Way of Wayne County Kicks-Off Annual Community Campaign

The United Way of Wayne County (UWWC) officially kicked-off the 2022 Community Campaign at 11:00 am during the Volunteer Fair on August 31st at The Maxwell Center. Bethany Perry exclaimed that 36% of this year’s goal had already been met thanks to Frontrunner Investors who hold their campaigns early.

The Community Campaign is vital to the success of positively impacting 17,000 lives right here in Wayne County. Through the Community Campaign, UWWC is able to financially support local programs and address emerging issues and natural disasters. In addition, United Way of Wayne County accepted a donation of $7,500.00 from the Duke Energy Foundation during the kick-off. Derrick Remer was there to present a check to the organization. Thanks to their support, we are able to help meet the basic needs of hunger and housing.
