Shots Fired in Pikeville Neighborhood

On August 27, 2022, Wayne County Deputies responded to the area of Willowbrook Subdivision in Pikeville, NC, in reference to a shooting into an occupied dwelling. After deputies arrived in the area, they spoke to several witnesses who stated that they heard multiple shots being fired in the neighborhood and noted that the shots were being fired from inside a vehicle. Witnesses described the vehicle as being a small passenger vehicle, gray or silver in color.

While in the area, deputies located one house inside the subdivision which had been struck by gunfire, and it appears at this time to be an isolated incident. There were no reported injuries from this incident, and detectives are following up on leads.
