On August 22nd, Wayne UNC Health Care will be renamed UNC Health Wayne. It will use a new logo that symbolizes the hospital’s relationship with the UNC Health System and the joint mission of improving the health of all North Carolinians.

The new design reinforces UNC Health’s evolutions into a statewide health system with a mission of serving all North Carolinians with expertise and empathy. The transformational efforts, called ONE UNC Health, include new system values alongside a unified strategy, unified operating model, and a unified culture.

The rebrand, originally planned before the pandemic, is expected to occur in three phases over the next several years, as both organizations remain focused on responsible financial stewardship.

“The alignment of our logo strengthens the partnership we have with the UNC Health System and providers our patients with a recognizable symbol of quality,” says Jessie L. Tucker, III, President and CEO of UNC Health Wayne.
