Juan Carlos Rios, age 52, resident of the Calypso/Mount Olive area, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Wayne UNC Hospital.

He was self employed in the upholstery business and was known for his business skills. He attended St. Mary’s of the Angels Catholic Church.

Juan is survived by his mother, Esperanza Rios; a daughter, Nidia Rios of Mexico; brothers, Hector Rios and wife, Veronica, of Texas, and Julio Rios and wife, Marcela, of Kenansville; sisters, Patricia Ramirez and husband, Daniel, of Faison, Maria Palomo and husband, David, of Faison, Claudia Ramos and husband, Alfredo, of Mount Olive, and Chely Martinez and husband, Tony, of Mount Olive.

His father, Antonio Rios, and a nephew, Juan Carlos Romos, are deceased.

A visitation will take place Wednesday night, August 3, at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive from 6 until 8 p.m.
Funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, August 4, at 9 a.m. at St. Mary’s of the Angels Catholic Church, Mount Olive, with the burial following in the Faison Cemetery.
