Women’s Soccer Receives Team Academic Award

To be eligible for the award, teams must hold a minimum cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher on a 4.00 scale for the 2021-22 academic year. The honor is available to all soccer programs at the high school and collegiate levels. United Soccer Coaches recognized over 600 college programs, including 382 women’s teams.

The Trojans were one of six women’s programs from the Conference Carolinas to earn the honor from the United Soccer Coaches this year. Women’s soccer finished the academic year with a 3.29 cumulative GPA to garner the accolade from the organization for the first time since 2013.

The University of Mount Olive women’s soccer team earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2021-22 academic year on Thursday.
