Hide, Lock and Take

Hide, Lock and Take

According to the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB), last year, an automobile was reported stolen once every 45 seconds in the United States.  One out of every eight of them was a freebie for the thief where the driver left the keys or FOB inside.

As temperatures start to rise, we all may have a tendency to leave our cars running with the AC on.  This is a great way to ensure that the interior of your car stays cooler than penguin socks.  However, it is also a great way to ensure that your car will eventually end up stolen.

A reminder to citizens that while having a “cool car” is refreshing we must all be vigilant in ensuring our cars are not also stolen.  Take your keys with you wherever you go and remember to enjoy your summer and take care of each other.

When you park your car remember:

Hide Lock Take

Hide your things.

Lock your car.

Take your keys.
