The price of gas across North Carolina has fallen for six straight weeks.

According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular gas is $4.02 in North Carolina. That is 15 cents lower than last week and 53 cents lower than a month ago.

In Goldsboro, the average price has fallen below four dollars a gallon. The current average for a gallon of regular gas is $3.94, down from $4.48 a month ago.

According to GasBuddy.com, several gas stations on US Highway 70 West are reporting gas at $3.68 a gallon.
