Phillip Joseph Springer, 84, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Wayne UNC Health Care.

Phil was born in Green County, Missouri to the late Clarence H. and Mary Agnes Springer on December 11, 1937. He was a retired engineer with Electrolux in Kinston.

A service celebrating Phil’s life will be announced at a later date.

Phil is survived by his wife, Carol M. Springer; daughter, Cindy Springer of Independence, MO; step-son, Duane Hazelwander and wife, Carla of Princeton; step-daughter, Melissa McGill and husband, Jeff of Palm Dale, CA; two grandchildren, Derrick McGill and Britany Hazelwander; and a great-grandchild, Mason McGill.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jody Springer.
