Jonathan Lloyd Mitchell, 39, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 27, 1983 in Wayne County, he was the son of Joseph Mitchell and Teresa Mitchell.

A service to celebrate Jonathan’s life will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home in Goldsboro with Pastor Jim Dotson officiating. Interment will be held at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday prior to the service and at other times at, 203 North Landing Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the evenings on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Jonathan is survived by his mother, Teresa Mitchell; his sister, Amanda Pejera and husband, R.T.; his grandmother, Jean Mitchell; his aunt, Cheryl Taylor and husband, JR; his niece, Hartley Pejera; his nephew, Beckham Pejera; cousins, Samantha Jennette and her spouse, Shelly Willis and her spouse, Mitchell Daniels and his spouse, Josh Daniels and his spouse; close friends, J.P. Shaw and Chris Schmidt and his two special companions, his dogs, Jax and Bosco.

He was preceded in death by his father; his grandfather, Billy Mitchell; his aunt, Beth Daniels and uncles, Steve and James Mitchell.
