July 10, 2022, 90, Kenly –

Ruth Austin Briscoe, 90, of Kenly, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at the SECU Hospice House surrounded by her family. Ruth was born in Darlington County, SC on June 19, 1932 to the late Clayton Dennis and Grace Burkett Dennis.

In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her son, Donald Austin; sister, Pearl Strickland, and brothers, Junior Dennis and James Dennis.

Ruth is survived by her son, Ronald Austin and wife Crystal of Princeton; daughter, Debbie Watkins and husband Tommy of Kenly; grandchildren, Trent Austin, Bailey Austin, Sandra Wooten, Jennifer Watkins; and great granddaughter, Hayden Wooten.  

Ruth was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She was a devoted Christian and enjoyed reading the Bible and spending time in prayer with her Lord and Savior. She enjoyed going shopping, baking, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren but most importantly enjoyed working in her flower garden. She will be dearly missed but precious memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

The memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel with Reverend Dennis Pollock officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations in Princeton.
