July 10, 2022, 84, Goldsboro –

John Miller Taylor, 84, of Goldsboro departed this walk of life Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Johnston UNC Health Care in Smithfield surrounded by his loving family.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Golden Gate Cemetery in Pikeville.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Mr. Taylor was born in Wayne County on May 16, 1938 to the late James Lee and Annie Best Taylor. He was a member of Holly Green Missionary Baptist Church in Dudley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Beulah Jones; three sons, John Taylor Jr. and wife, Lisa, Alexander Jones and Thomas Parker; three daughters, Toya Taylor and husband, Michael, Angela Hatch and husband Chris, and Shirley Jones Wooten and husband, Tyron; two brothers, Joseph Taylor and Jonah Taylor; two sisters, Johnnie Taylor Lewis and Flora Taylor; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.

Professional services have been entrusted to the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
