July 8, 2022, 77, Goldsboro –

Earnest Lee Linton, age 77, passed away Friday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC.  Born in Pitt County, NC, he was the son of the late Robert Earnest and Elizabeth Gainey Linton. His wife, Darlene Posey Linton also preceded him in death.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 11:00 am at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Gene Hales officiating. A time of visitation will be held immediately following the service at the funeral home.

He is survived by sisters, Geraldine L. Mumford, Darlene L. Woodard (Dewey) and Arlene L. Winders; brother, Curtis Ray Linton (Vickie); son, Ernest Lee Campbell; step daughters, Gina Stroud and Tonya O’Tyson.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Grady; sister, Shirley Smith; brother, Carlos Linton.
