Heat Advisory In Effect Wednesday For 109 Degree Heat Index

(NCNN WeatherCenter)–The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a Heat Advisory for Wednesday from 11AM through 7PM. The Advisory coverers the eastern half of the state including Wayne County.

The Heat Index Value could rise as high as 109 degrees for several hours. If you work outside be cautious and stay hydrated and take plenty of breaks.

We are also in a Level 2 threat zone Wednesday for severe storms with damaging wind gusts and perhaps some hail.
