Bessie Rose Beamon, 89, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Wayne UNC Health Care. Born in Johnston County on January 15, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Alice Hill Rose.

In addition to her parents, Bessie was preceded in death by her husband of over fifty years, Benny G. Beamon.

Bessie is survived by her daughter, Vicky B. Lassiter of Pikeville; sons, Michael Beamon and wife, Earlene of Durham and Allen Beamon of Goldsboro; brother, Donald Rose of Seven Springs; grandchildren and spouses, Chris and Emily Lassiter, Sherry and Shane Vinson, Robert Lassiter (Danielle), Valerie and Brian Mace, and Lindsey and Brad Stephenson; great-grandchildren, Cassandra Lassiter, Sarah Vinson, Sydney Vinson, Skyler Lassiter, Caleb Lassiter, Casen Lassiter, Jaylen Mace, and Benjamin Stephenson; and a special nephew, Cody Rose.

Bessie was a dedicated and faithful servant of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a charter member of Antioch Presbyterian Church.

A service to celebrate Bessie’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Kelley Buffaloe officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Seymour Funeral Home.
