Sheila Carol Braswell Suggs, 75, of Princeton, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022 at her home. Sheila was born in Johnston County on September 26, 1946 to the late Woodrow Bradley and Nellie Moore Bradley.
In addition to her parents, Sheila is preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Suggs; sisters, Kay Wiggs and Teresa Woodard; brother, Joseph “Richard” Bradley and granddaughter, Taylor Braswell.
Sheila is survived by her sons, James Michael Braswell and wife Sherry of Princeton and Brian Wesley Braswell and wife Crystal of Goldsboro; daughter, Wendy Braswell Shope and husband Marc of Raleigh; grandchildren, Tamaca Gibbs, Carol Zajac, Crystal Braswell, Michael Stahl, Jason Stahl, Christopher Stahl, and Kaitlyn Martin; ten great grandchildren; her four-legged beloved companion, Luke, and several other family and friends.
Sheila was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend. She was a faithful member of Trinity Church of God. Sheila was an avid yard worker and took pride in her work. She loved singing and going to the lake, but most importantly spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed but precious memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
The funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel with Reverend Steve Singleton officiating. A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations in Princeton. The burial will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the Hephzibah Baptist Church Cemetery in Princeton.
