Judith Lou Jessee

June 18, 2022, 71, Goldsboro –

Judith Lou Jessee, 71, went to be with her Heavenly father Saturday afternoon while being cared for at Goldsboro Assisted Living in Goldsboro.

Judy was born in Pike County, Kentucky to the late Helen Meade Jessee and Steward Simon Jessee, Jr. who preceded her in death. Her grandparents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lee Meade and the late Mr. and Mrs. Steward Simon Jessee, Sr.

She came to Goldsboro with her family in 1952 and became a member of First Baptist Church.

A true angel, having innocence and purity of heart, Judy was a miracle and a blessing from the moment she was born. She shaped lives of family, friends and random strangers in ways that made them into better people. Despite her own disabilities she was always eager to help others. Her smile was like sunshine. For many years Judy was a resident of Goldsboro Assisted Living where she formed many friendships. Though she is no longer with us in body, Judy will never leave our hearts, minds or spirits.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Judy’s life at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Jackie Hamm officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Judy is survived by her nephew, William “Bill” Tilley IV and wife, Melanie. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Hope Lee Roberts Davis.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given in Judy’s memory to First Baptist Church, 125 S. John Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.

Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.seymourfuneralhome.com.
