Louise Barnhardt Huffman, 91, left this life on Friday morning June 10, 2022, at her family’s farm. Louise was born in Charlotte to the late Homer and Millie Wallace Barnhardt on December 5, 1930.

Passionate about her faith in her Lord, Louise worshiped at First Presbyterian Church of Goldsboro, where she was awarded an Honorary Women’s Life Membership. Proud and faithful to her church, she often volunteered her time to the Presbyterian Women Ministries. She always exhibited love and appreciation to the members and pastoral staff.

Louise started her faithful and devoted government career with the North Carolina State Forestry Service in Rocky Mount, NC.

She retired after serving twenty plus years in the United States Government as a Secretary. As a civil servant, Louise received a Lifetime Member Award from the Fourth Supply Squadron, Fourth Tactical Fighter Wing, at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

Louise spent countless hours volunteering with the American Cancer Society, Wayne County Unit, in the crusade to conquer cancer.

A service to celebrate Louise’s life will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 11:00 am. The family will greet friends following the service in activity center.
