Bobby Keith Chase

June 7, 2022, 75, Goldsboro –

Bobby Keith Chase, 75, or “Keith”, as his friends and family knew him, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at the age of 75. Keith was born in Wayne County, the baby son of ten children, to the late Herman and Lina Chase on April 5, 1947. In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his daughter, Vonda Pennington.

Keith retired as a facility maintenance manager at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

With a strong faith, Keith and Paulette made certain that their family faithfully served the Lord and attended church together. For many years, he and Paulette worshiped and were active members of United In Christ Church in Goldsboro. He served as a Deacon and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Keith’s life was a testimony to his Christian walk as he exemplified what he professed each and every day.

Keith loved his family immensely. He was always a handful. Everyone who knew him knew just how special he was. He was one of a kind. He appreciated time spent with family and loved being outside and tinkering on projects.

A service to celebrate Keith’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022 at United in Christ Church. The family will receive friends during the hour prior to the service from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the church. A private interment will be held in the Chase Family Cemetery.

Keith is survived by his wife of almost 57 years, Paulette Ginn Chase; daughter, Teresa Jones and husband, Tony; son, Clark Chase; grandson, Joseph Carter and his significant other Caroline Lowrance; and a daughter whom he loved as his own, Misty Johnson. He is also survived by a special great-grandson that brought so much joy to his life, Turner Jones.
